Under the leadership of Nobel Laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the interim government was formed last night. Fourteen out of the seventeen members of the interim government took their oath at Bangabhaban last night. Three members could not take the oath as they were outside Dhaka. They are former ambassador Supradip Chakma, physician Bidhan Ranjan Roy, and retired Navy officer Faruk-e-Azam.
